I think you've went a bit Looney Tunes with this one. Looking forward to see what you can do in your new chosen gauge. Hope you've been to spec savers.

    Great stuff Ian.

    The vino juice is flowing

I might convert this into a customs shed
    R026_featured.jpg

    This into a customs house/office
    R007a_featured_NEW.jpg

and this will be my signal box
    R010a_featured_NEW.jpg

and then there's one each of these
    T030_featured.jpg
    T030b_featured-495x395.jpg

That should see 2020 out … but maybe I might use ready built …. on the other hand ...

Just thinking a double slip rather than the crossover, would give a shunting puzzle layout with a run round.

I take it you have been issued with stronger glasses so you can see these micro trains :avatar:

Wow, N gauge Ian, that is a change ! Looking forward to your build on this one.

Paul mentioned the double slip, or can you switch in the lines in the fiddle yard ?

    Cheers, Gary.

Good points Paul  makes sense as does Gary mmmm ref the specs ... the reason for going n gauge is so i can get more in my 'hidey drawer' and the 5/8ths will think i'm buying less shinies .... :scratchchin: ok so l'm doomed ... also on reflection i reckon the buildings might be too much of a challenge as my eyesight isnt brilliant but we'll see (pun intended)

    n gauge.jpg

Slight alteration … the uppermost track if I use it will be above the retaining wall … anyway everything ordered from the scousers including a few extra wagons … buildings to be Metcalfe as I realized the combination of poor eyesight combined with scalpels and tinto is just asking for trouble … still got to make ship/boat though. things will alter when I measure up the wagons etc for the length of the run round loop

n gauge.jpg 9 sets of points (already obtained from Merseyside, excellent service) and quite complex but I wanted to have a small layout that would fit on our dining table (permission obtained as long as superglue not involved) so needs to be 100cm max but decided not to use traverser o this build as it would make it too long … comments welcome .. this gives me a 2 road fiddle yard of 25cm

dock main.jpg Ok … after massively underestimating the size of the Metcalfe building kits, I've altered the trackplan … however now I have to use Scalescenes so first aiders on yer marks get set …. or maybe not mmmm :scratchchin:

I have never been a fan of Metcalfe kits, I think the Scalescene ones are far superior. You do have to put more work into them but I think the end result will look much better.

I agree Pete regards the end result but I've just had a go at the free 2mm Scalescenes warehouse and fell at the first hurdle so might have to sacrifice the realism for the reality and kit-bash the Metcalfe kits ... decisions decisions :scratchchin:

Why not do the 'Gormo method' and cover the Metcalfe kits in Scalescenes papers...

    Cheers, Gary.
