    Hi,
This is the tender truck that I am considering permanently attaching to the LNER Y7 that I have just ordered. I'm thinking of a slight modification to the small access hatch at the loco end. I may try to create two guides, one either side of the hatch running from top to bottom. Then insert a small door that can drop down between the guides to give access to the coal but that can be pulled back up to stop the coal falling out when not in use. Just an idea.
I'll maybe post up a sketch later to show what I mean.
    Cheers
    Toto

    Hi Toto,
The simplest way to create the guides would be to use a strip of 1mm x1mm brass angle available from Metalsmith Leeds or Eileens Emporium.

    Hi Gormo,

The good thing about them is that there were apparently no two the same. Each shed just made them up to suit their own requirements so that gives a bit of artistic licence to alter as you wish.

    Great little wagons.

    Cheers

It's a very enjoyable kit to build. Nice big easy parts that fit first time with no messing. I'm actually looking forward to getting back to it.
