This may be a bit un-seasonal and late, however may be a little different.

Based around a photo I found online

Troops of the 1st Polish Corps manning an armoured train on a line at North Berwick in Scotland, 4 February 1941. The train was armed with a 6 pounder gun

The intention is to convert a Dapol RTR & plank open wagon.

So the plan comes together - I hope

    Ambitious given the time left!

At last its not a one horse race now!

Hi TS, I agree, I had thought that someone else had started too but can't for the life of me remember who.

OK - late to the party - as usual

    So here is the start

Fired up 123D and designed this

    And

    upload_2018-11-14_21-2-56.png

Trying to print on the CTC printer - maybe pushing that one a bit much, but nothing ventured ..........

Hopefully the figures will arrive for the weekend

And the victim for the changes

So worried it's soiled itself :avatar:

Don't fret too much - it was one I picked up from the Dapol store at half price, weathered - but has the same number as others I already have, and the weathering leaves a lot to be desired.

Quite surprised the 3D print turned out not bad

Fitted the inner wall and test fitted the gun

Barrel is a bit longer than the photo - it may get trimmed :whatever:

Almost forgot ........ (it's an age thing)

Here are the figures that are on order

Hopefully enough to do ..... they are 1:48 scale instead of 1:43 so a 5ft10 figure would be 36mm tall instead of 40mm, making the figure approx 5ft1in.

I think I would have put the dividing wall behind the door in order to give the troops access to the gun. Just a thought.
