Personally, I couldn’t get the same detail. Or as neat.. sadly sometimes the 3D print can be a little too clinical for some items.. I could design in some odd slightly out of depth brick…. but hey..

Here is the next bit done

The wooden section hasn’t been UV cured yet, so that’s why it’s not fitting yet.

It’s not all fails! post cure but not had any clean up yet.

There are also some sacrificial parts in doorways and where sliding windows will fit in.

Does this one have sliding sash windows Andy or are they fixed inserts ? I noticed the irregular glazing supports in the aperture.

Yes the sash windows will open, what you see here is just support material when printing. To be cut out.
This was just to avoid warping.

First print of the roof and we’re back to the failed parts bin list..
After the other bits had gone well, this one has all distorted whilst still on the bed plate. For some reason the roof has bowed out in the middle, I can only think this is down to the angle of the “pull away” from the FEP? With all the support it had, I can think of no other reason for it to do this? DFA3DEE4-B451-4D56-8D65-F96D64A9BC54.jpeg although it looks OK here, closer inspection will show it has curved around the area of the chimney hole. (I don’t think it’s related to that)

    51246E4E-4805-4FAB-9FA6-3409B73C42E0.jpeg
it’s more visible here that they are not parallel.

And it doesn’t fit at all..

I’ve decided to reorientated it, it will stand on its end and print straight down..

Bad news is it’s a 17 1/2 hr print, so will be done around midnight. Well after I’ve gone to bed!

Just as an aside Andy I've just bought a colour photo of Leek Yard which has an end profile of the box and you can definately make out the two landing stages of the rear windows. So I'll take this picture of conclusive proof that draws our research window enigma to a close.

Ah. I thought we had laid that to rest when we found the rear locking room window in the cini film.? but at least we know..

now, whilst your looking, I need to know where the coat pegs were and colour underpants the signalman wore on his last day :avatar: (im kidding!)

but i do wish we had an interior photo.

Yes we had laid that conker to rest but the colour pic just reinforces the scene.
