    Hi everyone!

I got the conveyor built today so I'm almost there. I had to modify the inside of the conveyor structure as I have a couple of components that need to fit inside (more on that in an upcoming post) I just have to build a suitable structure to go on the near end on the conveyor and to cover the battery box on the left end then I can finish off the few little vents and pipes before final detailing.

    Hey everyone,

Well, I'm almost there! Today I finished the last of the main structure work on the boxfile. I still have to fit the backscene and some signs etc but the fiddly cardboard cutting part is all done. After I fit the backscene I'll decide if I need to make up the vent that goes on the left side of the right most structure. I also need to do a little soldering and painting of details over the next week or so. I've really enjoyed the build but it feels like it has consumed all my modelling time over the last 2 months or so, but I guess that goes along with a competition deadline. The pics below show the overall layout as it is at the moment and the 2 infill pieces I had to add due to the extra width of the boxfile I used.

    Hey there!

Almost finished now! Got my little people etc painted today so just need to get some dullcote tomorrow to reduce the shine. All that will be left then is the hand rail outside structure 'C' (I have some brass rod to cut and solder to make that). No pics tonight but i hope to post some tomorrow (maybe even a video too).

    Hi everyone,

Unfortunately the promised pics and video didn't get done today as I had other things to deal with. For those who don't know, my husband Steve and I live with my parents. Mum is currently recovering from a hip replacement and can't get around much, and Dad had a fall at 4am today and broke his wrist so most of my day was spent at the hospital while they did a temporary cast. I'm pretty stuffed now so it will be a few days before I can finish the work I had planned for today - I hope to get the handrail made and pics & video done by Saturday or Sunday.

Thanks Andy - Next week will be a busy week - Tuesday we are taking Dad to hospital again to have his wrist set properly (they say the swelling should have gone down by then) and on Wednesday we have to take Mum to Sydney (2+hrs each way) to see her orthopaedic specialist. Than I have to tidy the train room and make sure all my layouts are working for a visit from the model railway group that SMR Chris and I are part of. Thankfully I start holidays on 1/4 so at least there is some relaxation time ahead.

Hey everyone. I finally finished the handrail and installed the sign so now there is just a little bit of weathering and detailing to be done. I will take some more pics when all that is done and I'll put up the video then too.

Well, even having done my own version... I’m still impressed! It’s the same yet still totally different.

Thanks Andy. I guess it goes to show how versatile these kits can be - 2 people can build the same thing but both each model has it's own personality. It's interesting how small differences can affect the whole look and feel of something. I think we have each produced impressive models.
