I already have some 3x3x3 neo magnets Gary but I wanted a larger area covered because I cannot see them from the controller! :)
I use the neo mags in the fiddle yard which is in arms length!

Trying out some backscenes, only Blue Tacked at the moment. This is a Gaugemaster one but I'm not sure. maybe I need to chop some of the grass off at the bottom??
Waiting for another from Pete's Spares to compare it with. What do you think??

If you chop some of the grass off, the house in the background will move forward into the scene quite a bit more. :scratchchin:

It's a nice looking scene , it's just as you say ......... How close or how far.

    Looking good though Ron.

Its probably a bit to late now, but if you could pull the layout a little further from the wall and put some hedging or fencing/wall between the backscene and layout it would give greater depth to the scene, failing that then try reducing the height, perhaps fold the bottom under rather than cutting it off to see what it looks like, then commit.

    Cheers, Pete.

Hi Pete, cannot move the baseboards but certainly consider folding the back scenes though? I'll wait and see what the otherone is like when I get it!

Well the new backscene arrived from Pete's Spares, first thing I liked was the matt finish as opposed to the Gaugemaster's somewhat shiny finish!
This new one has white edges which will need trimming but I have just 'Blue Tacked' them for now, 2'x5' which is just right, the Guagemaster was only 3'x3' and too short. Anyway, some photo's and a movie!!

I agree with the other guys Ron,

That second back scene is the one for sure........it looks just right sitting there on your layout.

    Thanks Pete!
Decided to grass the program track so it blended in better, used 4&6mm static grass.

Busy day at Sheringham, spent most of the day finishing off the permanent wiring up of the shed! Got rid of the extention cable at last!!Visited the local model shop wher I bought some new palisade fencing (Wills), a Transit van and a track laying crew. Also did a small amount of ballasting near the station entrance.
