Lots of ground cover which I will create some nice garden beds with and flowers in the fields. The Purple makes great thistles while the whites and yellows make nice daisies.

Hey thanks for the gluing tip. I am aiming to work on that again tomorrow. I will post the results.

 

Well I was able to direct my attention at the layout this afternoon, after months of doing nothing on it.
I kicked off by planting trees , grass, flowers etc on the small removable section that i made a few weeks ago.
I've planted about twenty of the seamoss trees that I made last month, and I have to say they look even better once planted.
The static grass and flowers are Mini Natur products and I've used some Woodlands Scenics yellow flower mat for some ground cover. The starting point:

The other job I was able to complete tonight was fitting to station lamps to the branchline platform.I have had the lamps for ages but like so many thing just didn't get around to fitting them. But now it is done.

 

The platforms are looking very plain and i am unsure of what i should put on the top of them. Sand, pavers...... Any suggestions would be appreciated.

With the Q1 finished and my new Class08 Shunter from Hattons safely here and now sound chipped I had a few spare hours so have put red lamps on three of my brake vans. I will now need to do the Parcel vans as well.

I've used DCC Concepts pickup springs a 30 Ohm resistor , red nano led and Hornby lamp with a small hole for the led wires to pass through.

The wheels are all isolated by the plastic sleeve that Hornby use to fit the wheels onto so it is a very easy job.

I have some flicker free units to fit into the wagons as well, but will need to do those at a later date as I am a bit time poor at the moment, finding myself at work a little too much.

 

Works in progress. New ballasting and sand to be laid in the goods yard. Now that the ash has been pulled up today I can lay new sand and Ballast this week. Thanks to my little helper after School.
