Awwwwwwww I'd have two of them in a minute without the traverser .......... but wouldn't tell SWMBO that. dont go posting any more of them ................. bad man. toto
Good luck mate ... at anything over €50 I'm kinda stared at with that 'but that's a pair of shoes' look! Ian
More playi...! ... testing today, this time in the cool living room and no problems with points etc (unlike when in 18 degrees sunshine). So when on the roof I'll need to keep it on the shade. 4F Attached files
Well spotted (almost) Ron the image should have been of my 0 4 2 (which will be used as an autocoach) but the photo was very poor, and I forgot to alter the title. However it is a repainted 27xx and the trucks are a Triang tank wagon and I think a Bachmamn 5 plank? to assess how the wheel sets go over the points, so ...... we both get 6/10. Cheers Ian
Better luck next time guy's.... Got to admit tho', the 0-4-2T for such an old type wheel arrangment lasted for some time, and (and this hurts) it actually is nice if quaint looking locomotive - but don't tell anyone I said that. Paul
Thanks guys I understand what you mean Paul I'd like to respray mine in black to match the rest of my stock (sorry GWR fans) but can anyone tell me if they were ever that colour. Ian
Somehow, i'd imagine black one to be rarer than rocking horse poo, as Swindon had a habit of painting black loco's green e.g. Ivatt 2-6-0's. Paul

ianvolvo46 wrote: This is a super nice looking scene you have created in a minimal space. Ian you have got the colourings just right and the photo back scene really works well with the scenic's in front nice work and I look forward to further progress.
Thanks Chris for the info and compliment, ref the 14xx I will go ahead and spray it soon and I think I've got a BR lion logo decal Cheers Ian
Ian I can recommend Tamiya flat black acrylic paint thinned 50:50 with Tamiya X-20A thinner, and Tamiya's masking tape to protect the number plates. Paul
Thanks Paul I reckon I'll need to lightly weather the Airfix auto coach to take the newness off it. Ian
