Cheers Toto at some point I'm fitting hidden catenary bases (Hornby with Triang single wire conversion) so I can run the EM2 and steeple cab. It'll also mean I'll have to sort out the wheel sets but hey ho it'll be fun. Ian
Bit too advanced for Toto, he just needs the max setting, with a warp factor 9 added for that extra little something. You should really notice the difference between it and the Duette. Happy testing Paul
I could nae use it. ......... It's got more than one dial ........ Far too complicated. Two buttons one for Mac 10 and the other for stop ....... Some time before the end. Looks good though. Cheers Toto
Gonna keep using the Duette until the plonk finished don't want to get drool (dribble) all over it, its the equivalent of ac/dc to me. Ian
My Duette, still provides the 16ac for my accessories, the MERG DCC pulsed accessory decoders have a builtin CDU, so need an external power supply, must be approx 45 years old now and still going strong, only work done to it was to replace the mains cable. Go on give the newbie a go, you know you want to Paul
Y''know what Paul I just might give it a go it does have a lifetime guarantee. I'll definitely hang on to the duette in case I ever get room for a larger layout. The Plonk only has a few yard lamps and 2 controls are sufficient.
Once you try the Gaugemaster, you'll wonder how you ever managed, mind you stepping up to DCC is a game changer as well, once you get the decoders set up correctly - that brings us back to Toto and smoke from his ears Paul
Don't ever see me going dcc not that I'm against the cults but my little plonk will give me hours of driving choo choos oni train roof, I don't even take my mobile phone up there. Ian
Now you have the 'power in your hands' ! Nice controller, but do not throw away the Duette. It will be a good second controller for when the time comes, or as Paul stated, for controlling other functions/accessories. Cheers, Gary.
