A very pleasant few hours on a Sunday spent adding scenic details on the KESR project

 

Finished off the grass last night and bedded in the platform.

I will be there but the diorama won’t be unfortunately. I will be collecting bits for the next project though, Kirton Lindsey tunnel mouth in Lincolnshire. Need the boot space to fit that in.
It will be on display at the KESR once completed though

 

Another day of scenic work at St Stephens bank, Bracken and ferns in bluebell woods, lineside hedgerows and fencing added, static grasses and wild flowers and sand along side the beach line

 

Made up a simple platform surface for the new station project, this will have a brick face added and a laser cut slab platform top.
The black line represents were the footbridge and overall roof will go providing the main scenic break.

 

Fencing progress at Haskins hill on St Stephens bank, gauge straps now in place on the KESR diorama, track template glued down on St Stephen’s General and a king on a North West train.

 

The last details added to the KESR diorama, another pair of road signs for the opposite side of the crossing.
The first day on the Kirton Lindsey project, the board framed up and the track laid over a printed plan so we have the correct 60’ panels and the cutting sides carved out of polystyrene.
Scenic work continues at St Stephens bank
