Don't listen to him Chris ........ It's all lies. I'll be getting things moving again soon. I'll kick of with the tidy up, a couple more hoots which show things a bit better then a drivers eye tour when the camera arrives. Hopefully get things moving when I get home this weekend Cheers Toto
Matt, Tom mentioned using his trusty 33, must have come out of rehab. I had heard the mpd had fitted air bags and a parachute Following on from Toto and Gormo I've also bought one, due to arrive today. Paul
I got a card from the postie. pick up my camera from their office tomorrow. think its clean up time in the shed tomorrow when I get back from the Vet. Unfortunately its a one way trip for Gypsy tomorrow. I'll maybe post up a picture or two of the shed later on. cheers Toto
Hi, I parted company with Gypsy today at 10.45am. After explaining a few behavioural traits to the Vet and after an examination, one or two things pointed to the fact that she may have indeed had the start of a brain tumour. I think the correct decision was made. Cheers Toto
Really sorry to hear that Tom, as a dog owner over many years I know it's a heart wrenching time. Take care and our thoughts are with you both .... Cheers Ron
Sorry to hear this Tom , but she's had a great life and is at rest now. I'll Miss being woofed at when I walk in though Matt

Sorry to hear the news Toto, and sorry that you had to make a very hard decission. My condolences go out to you. Atleast you know she won't be alone, she has Rosebuddy to run around with in doggy heaven. Regards, Gary.
Well, It's Friday ...... And time to think about getting down the road and getting home. There are a few things on my list this weekend. First off..... An easy one, get a few photos of my new shinnies up when I get home. Into the shed tomorrow and give it that much needed ( and moaned about ) tidy up in order to clear my feet and give me somewhere to work. Then it's an attack on Highbridge. This weekends tasks are to extend the baseboard sides and fit out the Cobalts. Maybe even get some power to the track for the first time and get that tested out. Wish me luck. It'll be tae time before I land as the roads are like sheet ice today. A slooooooooowwwwww drive home. Cheers Toto
Well, Heading back to Inversneckie tomorrow. When I return I will be knee deep in Highbridge but hope to find a couple of hours to do the double crossover on the R & GLR. Once the track is done I'll need to divert the multi core cables that service the Cobalts from their original position on the other side of the layout, to their new position.I'm hoping they are long enough or it's a complete rewire of 4 multicores. When I get these back into service, I can run some trains again. I'll also be bodging a bolster wagon to take my new video camera ( as per the Gormo vision version as modelled of late ). Then ...... Maybe I'll manage to get a half decent video on the go. Won't quite match the quality of Gormovision but it will give an insight for those not familiar with the R & GLR. Hopefully I'll be firing on all four pistons again and getting back to business as usual. This weekends visits to the shed have been a good thing and although I did not exactly move mountains, it's got the blood flowing again. I'll look forward to seeing some of you if you pop in for a view. Cheers Toto.
Well, I've failed miserably on all counts lately in my bid to get anything done. I've been far too distracted with the forum itself so I must buck my ideas up. the R & GLR was left off where I had four sets of points to cut in to form a double change over between the two main lines that run up the connecting ramp between the lower storage are and the main layout level. Its not a hard job but I've been pulled in a few different direction ( as happens to us all ) and some I must admit have been a great distraction. ( thinking of a recent visit to a grumpy old mans house lately ) However, between the R & GLR and Highbridge , its time to try and get my finger out and actually get something done. Yep, I know ......... heard it all before but it has to happen. This weekend coming, I pick my new glasses up at the opticians ( nearly £ 600 and I have to wait three weeks for them ..... something wrong there ) and apart from that ....... that seems to be my commitments for the weekend. So ...... dare I stick my neck out and throw caution to the wind with wild abandonment and suggest that I may get these points in ........ whats the verdict ? next question / thought, instead of having two sets of points directly connected to each other at each crossover, do I space them out a bit further in order to potentially make for easier and more reliable running. ( avoiding a degree of potential derailing ). the jury is out on that one. all answers on a postcard to the above. Toto
Toto can you post up a photo of the location for the crossovers so we can all get an idea of how much space you have? To fit this in. If you have room too, spacing it out may be a good idea a bit of a straight between the points could prevent some dramas when running long trains over the full double cross. If what I have in mind is what your trying to do.?
