Now there's a name from the past; Jitty was what we called them in Leicestershire
apart from the chimney pots and a bit more weathering houses done, not bedded in yet so 3' rule applies .. low relief garage next (from Scalescenes free low relief warehouse kit)
Garage/engineering workshop almost complete backdrop, signs etc to do but pleased with the progress so far
Buildings glued down and I've layered the background but I won't detail it with fence, people n thingy's until I've finished the industrial scene on the reverse side as things could get knocked off (chimneys etc) 3' rule applies but I'm happy with it
Couldn't resist putting the little people in the street .. the lads at S Kelley's starting a restoration on the Mayflower (my brother's current classic) oil leak needs sorting first … whist Mrs Ivatt wants pc Andy Cuff to arrest her husband Ivan if he so much as steps foot in the model shop .. still work in progress 3' rule applies
revised garage (reduced height/width) to improve perspective
First of the 4 scenic modules complete … number 6 has fire damage so boarded up … fence needs straightening when set (3' rule applies) .. factory next on reverse side … Nerja carnival tonight so mucho tinto
Various items for my next scenic cassette build on reverse side to houses/garage
Plenty more to do but it's a start on the factory scenic ...
more detailing .. loading dock next
Re-worked the shutters for the loading bay
Revised revision of the previously revised track plan … meaning shorter scenic section of 60cm but giving me 4 x scenic backgrounds
More progress .. loading platform next
Almost finished the factory scene ... needs more detailing … then that'll be the first scenic cassette complete, with each side being small it's a job that you can see the end of which is a rarity in our hobby
Just be careful with the glue on that tablecloth Ian, you don't need the wrath of SWMBO!
The initial incident is burnt into my eardrums Keith
The final (x 6) plan for the plonk this means I won't have to alter my existing baseboard 130cm x 24 cm and can retain my other smaller repair shop layout (see photo)
*** I have now altered one of my scenic sections from a Dairy to a low relief Wagon Repair Shop; this will link up to the traverser and give that section live operating potential .. if I can make it work of course
I thought I was following until you threw in the repair shop!
Now I am lost, also by the x 6?
But other than that, it is a very smart plan, can't wait for the "quick change" video when complete!
