    Hi everyone,
Just an update to say we have now got the go ahead to build a garden railway at Helston Preserved Railway here in Cornwall. There will be further updates after our Area Group Meeting next week and on how to proceed with the build. Once officially opened there will be 2 gauges running 32mm and for those that run 45mm This would be an added attraction to their preservation railway on their open days.
More updates to follow once I know more.
    Regards,
    Gloria.

Great news Gloria. I'm guessing you are doing this for the love or is it a commission build ??

    Cheers, Gary.

    Good morning Gary,
No its not a commission build sorry to say. It's for the benefit of our group members and the General public. The funding is taken up by our members of 16mm Association with donations of track and help from the Helston Preservation Railway with some materials they are allocating us a plot of land which will be ours to do what we want with. That is all I can tell you for now until after our meeting next week.
    Regards,
    Gloria.

I enjoy watching the new garden railway at our local model engineers club here in Chesterfield, they have had a miniature railway for quite a few years now, and very good it is too! The garden railway is two gauges 32 and 45 plus gauge one. I'm really tempted to build some thing to run on it! As if I don't have enough projects on the go...............

    Hi everyone,
As promised a further update regarding our meeting this afternoon about the Garden Railway being built on the site of The Helston Preserved Railway. All members passed the motion so that's good news, a committee has been formed with a Chairperson Treasurer and myself as Secretary which I didn't expect. Now all there is left to do is when Helston Railway have their AGM in 2 weeks time for them to pass everything, which shouldn't be a problem as they would love to have us there as an added attraction.
Will know more then as my partner and myself will be in attendance. The name of our group which everyone voted on is called the Cornwall 16mm Group.
    Regards,
    Gloria.

Thank you Toto ever so much.Trying to find out if we can get some track donated to start us of now once we got the go ahead. We have been lucky that one of our members has offered us 45mm track free of charge just need some 32mm track.now.So it's all on going here. Once we got the actual go ahead we shall start cracking on. We also have been asked to attend rallies and steam fairs so that should be good we attended 3 last year which we have a trailer with an exhibition railway laid out.Just have to wait and see now what turns up.
    My kindest regards,
    Gloria..
