A little more work on the dry brushing The results so far with a 12mm flat stiff brush and the dove grey brushed in a generally horizontal direction Next a softer 12mm flat brush in a more random stroke to try and high light / lighten the faces Lastly the stiff 12 mm flat brush again but this time with the silver mist grey in a downward direction only - the highlight the top edges. Cheers guys, it's surprising what you can bluff your way through, the next bit gets tricky - those who remember Vicky Road will have noticed the complete lack of greenery, time to try and work some of Gary's magic (I wish). Paul
I've been looking around for idea's for a water fall and came across this great video by Martin t Paul
Those rocky outcrops you did look fantastic Dundee Paul, brilliant stuff can't wait to see the waterfall too.
Green finger time - dont worry on the 12":1FT I only cut grass. 1st pass with the home made flock and foam. Paul
Excellent Paul and very true to the real thing opinion my opinion. The grass grows from anywhere it gets the chance in these rocky terrains. I have to try and emulate similar in the little bit of embankment that will surround the bridge build on my baseboard. Oh dear. Great stuff.
Cheers guy's, it's a pity the only running loco's I have are an Ex LSBCR Terrier, and a GWR Fowler Diesel someday tho .....
Your scenic treatment looks well effective Paul... I'm mightily impressed with the realism of it, from what little of Scotland I know you really have captured the spirit of the landscape. I wouldn't worry about not having many locos to run Toto has a cupboard stuffed to the brim with unmade kits, there has to be something in there that will suit your needs.
Moving to the other board (Toto's Traverser is in the way), I've finally attached the girder side, and made up the walk way Hand rails next Paul
Hand rails printed last night, currently printing extra ones as I need to make this one panel longer (at least). And a test fit of the retaining wall and rock base Paul
