Ahhh, ok now what you may have to do is line the corner wall sections up, to make sure the printed ledge sections line up with what you have done. For some reason or another, I had problems with the two lining up exactly on my build... :whatever:

    Dooh !

    Cheers, Gary.

    Hi a Gary,

It's just become apparent what these little black lines are on the edge of the building. ....... Drainpipe brackets. Now .... That is where the difference in wall thickness will stand out. ....... Drat.

I'll need to come up with a cunning plan for that. Never mind. I ain't starting from scratch again.

    Where there's a will ..... There's a way.

    Cheers

    G`day Toto,

Blimey Gary......you are very observant....I didn`t spot that one, however does it matter..????

It looks like the top ledge is the same as the lower ledge therefore to the eye there is no obvious difference......and the printing won`t be seen on the layout. I doubt if the average onlooker would spot it and if they do well????.........it`s the old ejector seat ,straight out of through the shed roof.!!!!

Toto will have his finger on the button ready for the rivet counters.....Ay Toto..

    Hi Ed,

You are right, I've been laying bricks in my sleep. :avatar:

Still a long way to go. A lot of repetitive sections to do and then a few bespoke sections before I can start the job of pulling it all together. I am enjoying it so far though.

    Now ...... Where's me glue.

    Cheers

Was the end piece from the photocopied sheets rather than the printed sheets ?

If so that would explain the discrepancy - bottom lined up the top short.

You can use a black pen to draw in the other side of the drainpipe brackets, that may also help hide the error

Once I get the current production off the line, I'll turn my attention to the corners and drainpipes. That'll give an idea of what needs to be bodged. I'm not to worried as it will only be noticeable to a slight extent and the additional " thickness " to the one side of the drain pipe could be partially hidden by some moss or climbing foliage. In fact, it's not every section that actually needs a drainpipe. Say .... Every one in two maybe. The building itself will still look believable.

:avatar: Mmmmmm yes indeed. wonderful stuff.
i've been busy this afternoon gluing and cutting trying to get some of the fiddlier bits ready to do from the comfort of my hotel room. ( thats a laugh ) its a bit of a tip I'm afraid. Anyway ..... here is where I am at with the latest sections.

The latest series of walls and window components ready to take sills and ledges etc. they are the awkward bits but all the base pieces have been cut and glued ready to take their wraps and be glued into place. I have some windows etc ready as well. not sure if I have enough as I did run out of acetate. I never got out to renew my stocks but will catch up with that when I get home on Thursday this week.
Here is another of the same.

I am off Friday and Monday next weekend and will be away staying in a caravan for a few days. I'll prepare and pack a stock of card, paper and glue for taking away with me.
thats it for now I'm afraid but there should be some kind of progress to post up through the week.
    cheers for now
    Toto

I don`t think Mrs. Gormo would let me get away with that on hols. Toto....:scratchchin:

I`d have to sleep with one eye open otherwise she would suffocate me in my sleep or put arsenic in the Guiness that I pour over my Corn Flakes.

You should get Mrs. Toto into some cutting out and glueing. The ladies are very good at such things you know!!!....and then there`s the caring and sharing factor to be considered?????....not to mention you`d get it all finished quicker.!!!

Lots of plus factors to consider????........in the meantime enjoy your break.

I don't know if I'd let her loose with a scalpel. :scratchchin: she may have her latest dress making project with her.

The weather is getting a bit rough further north. A mixture of snow and sleet. Hope that clears up by the weekend.
Not that it will really matter. It's a break all the same.

    Cheers

About your 'misalignment' ... It's ok there is a prototypical reference. Many many many moons ago I did some labouring for a local bricky and this wizened old guy told me about 2 builders each building the same wall at either end. When they met at the top, one had built 1 more row than the other (due to using different thicknesses of mortar) but both were at the same height. This is called a 'line of pig' ... there how's that for a bedtime story...

Good news with the engine starting Pete. Hope the weather is kind to you. It'll make the day so much more enjoyable.

    Hi Ian,

There are a tea measures that I could take but I have to question whether it's worth it. I may get a conscious and go for it ....... I may not :avatar:
