    Layout on hold for a few days due to yet more visitors but tracklaying/point controls next ...? ... when I've come down from my tinto/cocktail hit ...

    First bunch of visitors have now left so in the relativaly short break I've got (or soberist spell I'm at) the front valance (€5 hardwood blackboard) has been fitted in readiness for the first point and control rods ...

    Little more track laying to be done and soon you'll be running/shunting/playing/operating trains !! Looks like the very front track coming off the three way point will be very close to the edge of the baseboard. I'm sure you have that sorted anyway ! ;)

    Cheers all .. it's not too bad Gary the front valance is a couple of cm higher than the track bed so it gives that impression.

    Don't know if it's the camera angle Ian, but that underlay seems to raise the track considerably higher than the floor level of the doorways behind.

    Jobs a gud un (only the wires to trim when its all dry) this will detirmin the positioning of all other track work
