    Looks Good Ian

The photos make the loading dock look abandoned with paint spilled everywhere. Looking foward to the finished result

Thanks all for the encouragement .. don't think so Gormo it gets very tricky around the points and this is a pla ... running layout .. however I will try it in certain places. I'm hoping it'll look better when the track/sleepers are painted and I've added crossings. Bon voyage to the land of ochs and ayes!

I really like the yard surface Ian. I'm not sure how it's going to look with a different surface between the rails so looking forward to how you tackle that.

Enjoy the carribean night tonight ....... Go easy with the limbo dancing though. :avatar:

Birds of a feather, flock together...

    Cheers, Gary.

ps, I was looking at the way Jimmy Styles has filled in around the points on his Operation Abyss layout, might be worth a look for some clues on what to do on St Emilia... ;);)

I'm guessing the best option around the three way points is balsa wood infill... This wouldn't be too difficult, but would require some judicious cutting and filing. There would be those small triangle sections to go in between the diamond (centre frog) and the switch blades allowing room for the switch blade throw, but the rest would be quite simple... :whatever:

I have written clay infill on the diagram, but it should/could read balsa infill...

Back from our couple of days in the party world of Costa lotta Spain having enjoyed the contrast so now got some layout/recovery time. Just experimented with track infill and am hopefull that apart from the points it won't be difficult and will look ok. I've also rethunk the traverser thingy and decided to move it to the l/h side making the centre track the feed from the mainline.[size=

It is Ron but I 've got a new Gaugemaster as well. Just a couple of issues with the card surface lifting a wheel but easy sorted.

Nothing better to do on a lazy 'sunny afternoon' than play trains and sippin' on an ice cold beer in the summer time... ;);)

    Cheers, Gary.
