After trying to follow my trackplan for the second half of St Michael I realised the goods shed/cattle dock and station wouldn't fit as planned .... so... here's a visionary revised revision of my previously revised plan. Attached files
that works Ian. Looks like you get a bit more length to the main platform as well Looking forward to this developing http://www.click
The corkboard finally glued down on the last baseboard and weighted using the 'Toto' method (filled the toolbox full of hammers) and some stuff I found in a place called the kitchen? (other 5/8ths territory). After its set I'll join it to its companion section and paint them both (second half of plonk) ... then it's backscene ... then it's track laying time ... then it's ... It`s coming along nicely Ian, Should keep the old grey matter functioning once you start shunting trains on there. http://www.clickGormo
Thanks Gormo made myself useful whilst the glue dried so I'll have some stock to shunt with. Also arrived are the Bachmann couplings and magnets aka 'uncouplers' so plenty of interesting things to go at. Cheers Ian Attached files
Second half of baseboard complete and varnished ready for backscene ... progress..! ... time for tinto methinks Attached files
I agree with Toto, top job all round. I do like the simplicity of the baseboard with the backscene wall built in, excellent. Makes me wonder if anyone in Australia do these modular baseboard kits....?? Cheers, Gary.
Due to space restrictions I'm moth balling St Michael for now and starting a mini plonk in another thread...
Hi Toto fortunately the baseboard is complete and ready to receive track, the buildings are all built with the exception of the platform but I have the kit so it really was the 360cm length that stumped me but...... the new mini plonk is only 200cm long (possibly 300 later) and as they are floating shelves I'm hoping to pre fit the brackets in a part shaded area of the roof terrace so I can take them up or bring them down whenever.
