Well we are in, boxes and all and on the internet again (Virgin Media).. Weybourne is still in the caravan in 4 pieces and hunt for a shed begins! I am looking for a 12'x8' shed but would settle for a 10'x6' if thats what it takes! There is a lot to do in the new house, total decorating for a start!! So I may be a while sorting the shed but Weybourne will be born again!! CheersRon
Glad the move is going well Ron ... I find bargining costly ... there's an unwritten rule in our abode ...' You can do exactly as you like when I like' ... good luck ... now I'm off to hide Ian
Glad it's comming together Ron, Here's a few to get you started http://www.shedstore.co.uk/garden-sheds/garden-workshops/ Paul
You'll get it back up again - but nows the time to make you snagging list of what you would have changed on Weybourne, so you can "fix" them when you re-assemble the layout. Paul
Enjoyable video Ron your on your way again ... well after decorating ... and gardening .. and shopping ... and ... Ian
New shed ordered!!https://www.waltons.co.uk/10-x-8-pressure-treated-pent-shed Just need to sort the base out first, bit of levelling to do as well! Then it's insulating, boarding up, fitting electrics etc and finally moving Weybourne in!! I'm thinking of changing the layout a bit, perhaps a terminal based on Sheringham station also on the North Norfolk railway. I took quite a few photo's last month so it's thinking cap on! Will keep you updated (+photo's) CheersRon
Hi Ron, its great your getting a new shed and it really looks the biz! just one question, is the floor and roof exterior/treated? it looks like Sterling board for the floor and that is notorious for damp, it sucks it up like a sponge and comes apart, I would never use it when I was making sheds because I saw what a mess it was when removing old sheds, hope fully as the timber has a 15 year rot guarantee it includes the floor and roof, I would just check if I was you mate. Cheers, Pete.
Great to see the layout getting started again, just dont forget the insulation, and a decent airgap between the ground and the floor, no harm in a copuple of steps up to the shed if it helps keep the damp down. Paul
All duly noted, I'll check the floor out when I visit the manufacture's later in the week. The shed is going to be raised up on a portabase and fully insulated as before. I think a pent roof shed will be easier to work on than a pitched roof!! I'm also going to check out the same shed but a 12'x7' for the same price! CheersRon
Hi Ron The shed looks good but the floor timbers looked a bit small. I'd buy some 3 X 2 and a couple of sheets of plywood and do my own floor I think but there again ......... You know my track record with sheds. Good luck whatever you decide. Cheers Toto
