I do hope the recovery goes good for you Toto, I also learnt a lot from Rob taking his advice on board regarding different soldering techniques. In my case making a long cantilever home signal by converting it from the MSE prefab square stem and scratching it with a 10 inch tubular post... what a very different beast they are but look so similar. at first glance I realized my mistake when enthusiasm overtook and I'd spent two evenings soldering the landing support bracket in the wrong place by some 4mm, I'd also set up the associate staging and trimmers with cranks which worked a dream. It all had to come apart to be repositioned and have some pieces shortened before it went back together and started to look like a signal again, depressing and frustrating but all came good in the end. That's the beauty of scratch building I'm learning as I go along. So I'm looking forward to more pics from you as well.
    cheers for now York Paul

I'll get back onto it. I took some time out from it today as I wasn't ready to start again quite yet.

    It'll happen.

Hang in there mate. gaining Experience also means making mistakes, and learning from them. Enjoying your post even though a lot of it is beyond my understanding.

I'm sure you would get there Phil. As they say, you need to start somewhere.

    Cheers
