One week today and the photo shoot for Severn Tunnel East's magazine article will be complete. I will then offer the layout for Sale. I did want to keep it back for a bit and possibly take it to some exhibitions but unfortunately with my lower back issues that's just not possible. It's a hard realisation when you have to except your limitations!! Especially at 36!! However I did always intend on selling it at some point. I have thoroughly enjoyed the build and it's not finished just yet!! I'm looking at £1600 for it. That includes the working signals and control boards. 2X 4 foot Square boards. It will require a van to move it or a large car. Attached files
Someone will be the proud owner. A exhibit able layout in a box. As long as they are forth coming with the credit for who built it if they do exhibit. Good luck with the sale.
I visited the Pontypool & Blaenavon railway today as they had a model railway show on, great little show and I took my Brittania along for a run. I got talking to an older chap who it turns out had ordered a masterpiece Brittania. About 20 minutes in to the conversation I asked how he had got in to 7mm and he said seeing a Britannia on the front cover of Model Rail some time back. So out came the phone and I showed him the shots Chris Nevard had took of Canton to see if it was this project and indeed it was!! He was very pleased to have met the person who built it and I was very pleased that this little layout has given so many people inspiration. It just goes to show what can be done in a small space in O Attached files
Beautiful work Steve ! You really turn out some master pieces. I think you should change your name to 'Picaso Steve' !! Cheers, Gary.
