Thanks Guys, Sounds like I`m in the ball park with the glue. I`ll try neat next time and see how it goes. I knocked up a stone wall this afternoon.....still needs some extra colours added and it will have stuff growing on it as well so it should turn out OK in the end. It`s just polystyrene that`s be given a work over with a rasp and then painted with poster paints. Actually....believe it or not.... it looks a lot better to the naked eye than it does in the cruel close up.? I`ve also done a Brown base for the grass around the church and there are paths to go in yet as well. Also cobble stoned roads have gone in. The tarmac will follow soon. And I made up some paving tonight to go along next to the printed background shops. The paving is not stuck down yet and needs to be trimmed to length and another section added. I am also considering going over the Metcalfe paving in front of the shop kits, however it`s not a bad match for this one in the pic. So there you are folks........I`m back with a vengeance.!!! http://www.clickGormo
You sure are Gormo. A bit of a whirlwind. It's bringing these scenes together nicely. Now, go have a well deserved beer. Cheers Toto
Yessa !!!!......I zah dancin`.......but maybe I should cut the speed down and raise the quality. I just noticed a mistake.......fortunately easily fixed.......*#@***####****. Ah that feels better http://www.clickGormo Oh well no more trains for a while......I have lots to do up to and including Tuesday.......I may be able to squeeze in some evening work though..
Great stuff Gormo. Just watched the latest edition to Gormo's shed. I think some of the scenic manufacturers will be a bit concerned. So cheap and easy. Cheers Toto
I like your stone walls, great job. Could I recommend a few washes in a variety of browns and if you do, do it randomly. Better get those tracks clean Gormo, I might have to bring my Class 33 and Class 128 Parcel Van over for a run ! Cheers, Gary.
I don`t know what you blokes are talking about????? Water jumps, Red Bull, wings??????.......we just need Ian to jump in now with some goat related comment to top it off..... Gary you`re right about the extra colours. That will be done of course otherwise it will just look like a plastic stone wall. You`re welcome to come over anytime as you know. I`m just busy for the next few days so we`ll work something out soon. I ran some trains tonight in readiness for tomorrow. I am going to have the little people here tomorrow for Julie`s birthday so no doubt they will want to see something running. Their little cousin will be here too and he`s a train nut already, at the age of two.??? A couple of probs have surfaced tonight. My 9F Evening Star needs some new traction tyres. The current ones are slipping on the wheels......this means another trip to Woodpecker Hobbies. Also my Lima passenger rail car seems to have a problem with the pin holding in the trailing bogie......maybe just a clip....won`t know till I open it up. So the queue of locos awaiting surgical procedures is growing but fortunately they are all easy fixes. Carry on lads......just forget I`m here. http://www.clickGormo
So, a goat that's been drinking Red Bull is about to attempt a jump across a rather large stretch of water in a Class 33, branded in Red Bull livery.... Nothing wrong with that Gormo, it makes perfect sense ! Cheers, Gary.
Well impressed Gormo loving the wall idea ... now I know of a church in the UK that actually used a 'goat' to keep the grass down in the graveyard as a mower couldn't get right up to the headstones .... just a thought Ian
Only issue I can see, even with a wasp nest, is I dont think Great Chesterford will fit in the size limits for a plank, however the layout is buzzin. The walls and heges look really impressive. Wish Julie a happy birthday from all of us in the cold half of the planet Paul
G`day Folks, Well thanks for the comments. Ian your suggestion for a goat as a lawnmower has merit. They can certainly keep an area under control when given free reign. So a goat in the church yard could be a possible and I`m not kidding.!! ......I wonder should he ( the goat ) be Anglican or Catholic.???.....not that I have any denominational preferences in goats but I feel a compatible goat would be better. We don`t want to upset the vicar??? Julie says to tell you guys that`s it`s freezing here and thanks for the birthday wishes. http://www.clickGormo
Well if its Ian's goat it wont be a T total methodist, but may drink vimto rather than vino Hope you all had a good, and your apprentice drivcers enjoyed themselves. Paul
Hi Gormo, Boy ..... You sure can't take a hint can you. Julie's freezing ....... That is hint speak for a new jacket. ........ And it's her birthday ....... Hint. Geeeeshhhhh
Toto's right Gormo you have to translate the signals i.e 'the lawn's coming on this year dear' means... well y'know... ref the goat there is a prototype for everything cos if I remember correctly the first religious goat was a certain evangelist called Billy Graham. ... birthday wishes to Julie from a sweltering Spain... and I'm going for a lie down now Ian
I'm confident Gormo will have made sure of that if he wanted his modeling licence to be renewed. cheers toto
