Signal box Mk4 looks good to me.

But, just to slow you down a little, I think your platform, coal drops, retaining walls and track really needs redoing... :avatar:

    Cheers, Gary.

I'm with Gary - mk4 looks really impressive, but I think the coal drop can survive a bit longer tho :avatar:

Backscene boards purchased €13 for 2 (about £10.50p) bringing total spend on board etc to €27 (£22) my original target was £25 so pretty pleased with that ... (more tinto for me and more corks for the goat ... they'll eat anything)

Started on the backscene board today ... not having a suitable backscene with me I used a remnant from St Michael and cut out the picture of the Metcalfe low reluef houses from the back of the packet ... then scanned and printed a few to stick over the greenery ...a few additions .. phone box double decker bus etc I think it'll work.

All the structures and weathering is blending in to make a really convincing scene Ian. The coal drop area still gets my vote. Superb.

    Cheers

I think once Dundee is over in a couple of weeks there will be a bit of a surge on Luib Bridge.
It's been good seeing how Paul has done certain bits of his. Especially of late with his back boards and the separating wall between his traverser and the main layout as I will maybe be doing something similar.

I was considering some form of separation at the baseboard join but not full height as the turntable area could still be part of the scenics yet. Maybe some sort of bridge but I'd rather come up with something a little different if possible as everyone does bridges.

    We'll see.

    Cheers

The new backscene really gives depth to the layout , have you thought of an overbridge with station building and steps down to the platform? it would give a scenic break as well.

    Cheers, Pete.

If an over bridge doesn't look right how about an pipe bridge - with maybe a boiler house on one side and a factory on the other side of the track - the coal drop couyld be supplying coal to the boiler house.
