One side with transfers applied, I will not be using Gloss Cote as a base, I will use the full fat Clear Gloss Varnish in future, and had issues trying to wash off the gum with water. The instructions said leave for 3 hours to harden, I left them over night, and when I tried to remove the gum, the transfers loosened off.

    But getting there - slowly.

Despite the problems with the decals they look great a little weathering and they will be ready for the layout.

Humbrol Gloss Cote (diluted 1:1 with Humbrol Enamel Thinners), two coats applied to seal in the transfers. Followed by a coat of Humbrol Matt Cote (diluted 1 part paint : 2 parts thinners)

    Basic first pass weathering applied

1st coat Humbrol Dust wash - neat from a well stirred bottle
2nd highlights applied using Humbrol Sand wash.

Allow these to dry, then seal with Matt Cote, then powders and streaking effects.

    Hi Paul,

The first picture is the best. It's slightly heavier done on the axle boxes and looks the berries.
