I don't have any goats, only sheep and cows Ian. So that box may not be ticked yet.

Thanks for all the comments re Pic of the Week.
I was able to get another hour in the train room yesterday and have put another 15 or so figures onto the layout.
I also airbrushed some more ballast with the sleeper grime. I much prefer the ballast after it has been sprayed, it looks a lot less like a trainset and more like a model once it is done.
I have written out a list of jobs to try and complete on my days off and will update my progress once I've ticked a few more boxes...

    WEEKEND TRACKWORKS IN PROGRESS.
I have been giving some thoughts to the farm area at the left hand side of the layout and after sketching up some plans on what I would like to do with the area.
I wandered into the train room this afternoon and I began removing the foam and plaster scenery that was put down 4 1/2 years ago.
An hour later and three bags of rubbish I have a blank canvas with which to work. The plan is to have a road, a river and a viaduct at the bottom end of the board and the farm and perhaps a quary at the top end of the board.

Truth be told the hammer was just for photographic effect. The real hero of the day was the plasterers tool. Wedged under the styrene and a sharp upward force applied resulting in the cracking of plaster and styrene alike. It was a winter wonderland with foam balls going everywhere.
In hindsight I could have used a single bead of wood glue around the edge of the styrene sheet. I will certainly be liberal in the application of adhesive this time around.

Now to find a good looking viaduct picture....... anyone? Now don't be shy gents.......

Nice viaduct, and not to deep a drop which will fit in nice with what you have in mind.
