There's nothing I disapprove of more than terrible puns and making jokes about goats; is just not on. As I sit here drinking my Billy tea, I look out at the green pastures trying not to get Gruff at these shameless quips. But I feel that I am just Butting my head up against a brick wall and know that although they are only Kidding we live in a Nanny state and at some point I'll just need to get the flock out of here.

The new baseboards are in place and now I need to start on the scenery and the framework for the viaduct. Attached files
Hi Steve,I have just found this viaduct in Scotland. Just the thing a curved Viaduct.I don't know if anyone has mentioned it. Perhaps Toto has its in his area.regards, Dodgey roger. Glenfinnian Viaduct Design[edit] The viaduct is built from mass concrete, and has 21 semicircular spans of 50 feet (15 m).[sup][11][/sup] It is the longest concrete railway bridge in Scotland at 416 yards (380 m), and crosses the River Finnan at a height of 100 feet (30 m).[sup][11][/sup] The West Highland Line it carries is single track, and the viaduct is 18 feet (5.5 m) wide between the parapets.[sup][11][/sup] The viaduct is built on a curve of 792 feet (241 m).[sup][12][13][/sup] The concrete used in the Glenfinnan Viaduct is mass concrete, which unlike reinforced concrete does not contain any metal reinforcement.[sup][14][/sup] It is formed by pouring concrete, typically using fine aggregate, into formwork, resulting in a material very strong in compression but weak in tension.[sup][14][15][/sup] [sup] [/sup] Attached files
Thanks Roger, yes that is a very impressive piece of engineering. I think mine will be much less impressive.

Some progress on the Viaduct build today. I spent an hour or so drawing up a few different versions then once I'd decided on the radius of the arches I made a full size card version of the sidewall. I've learnt from past mistakes that this is easier to do than making a ply one only to discover that it's no good.So I'm hoping that this week I will get the ply arches cut out and I can start constructing the supports with ply. I'm using this excellent build by Graham Ploughman as a guide. http://www.mrol.com.au/Media/12/Articles/Modelling%20Buildings%20and%20Structures/Modelling%20a%20Viaduct.pdf Here's what I'm hoping to create.
