I thought the shop on the left was a scene out of lock stock and two smoking barrels. You know the dodgey kebab shop. paul_l wrote:
May be wrong, but aren't the carcasses a bit big for the front of a butchers shop Paul, compared to the door. Just wondering where you'd put the counter. Ed
Hi Ed Does this answer the question Still to fit a glass cover to the display and find / paint some figures. Paul
Nice photos , I may be wrong but I think they are the first pic's I've seen of the whole layout rather than close ups, and it is even better than I imagined , well done Paul. Pete.
It certainly was Dundee MRC. It is making a return to Dundee again this year so ........... Hopefully see you there. Pop over, say hello ........... And run a train or two. Feel fee to bring a coffee with you. Paul gets grumpy if he doesn't get his coffee fix.
Yep twas Dundee alright, it's first trip out of the house, luckily it survived the journey there (approx 3 miles), but faired less well on its return leg. Hence the sacophocos was born, in time for Elgin. Great photo's, mmmmmm will have to build more buildings Paul
Wow its only a few weeks to go ....... Ok finger extracted and the layout has been movred back down stairs, and assembled. Well almost assembled still have to complete the point motors. But I have started to add some low relief buildings to the back of the layout. The latest being a kit bash of Scalescenes latest offering the Stone mill. Using the two end walls together, I will also add one of the side walls to the lefthand side. I will post a less blurry photo when the next bit has been added Paul And yes that is Toto's traverser being worked on.
Jumping round like a headless chicken, today after testing I started on fitting the MERG Servo4 units. Each one can control up to 4 servo's. I'll use a DCC controlled Arduino to send the control signals to the Servo4 units. The supply connections to the board was also rewired, removing the old 16Vac supply for the CDU (although this could have remained for the Servo4 units as the have a bridge rectifier on the board. Next up setting the servo end points. Paul
I like the servo mount brackets. Hold the unit very well. I can't remember if you bought these or not ? Could come in handy. I have some mini servo's somewhere that I could end up using. Wonder if these brackets would got ? Need to look into that. Cheers Toto
The brackets are MERG parts available from the Kitlocker £6.50 for six, the limit switches are extra. Point Motor - Micro-Servo Mount Part Number: 681
