Board 2 construction completed today, looking toward Ableton lane tunnel. The tunnel mouth will be about 6" in front of the back wall.

How wide are your boards Steve? will you be able to reach the track in event ( of the highly unlikely ) derailment? Pete.

4 foot square boards X 2 making it 8X4, you can lean over fairly comfortably, I suppose it would get more difficult the higher the boards are.
The size of The tunnel mouth dictated the width of the boards. But being a nice big embankment it does draw your eye down to the track .

The maximum recommended depth for reaching the track is 3ft so at 2ft to the track bed you should be fine.

I've added architrave on both sides of the boards for Severn tunnel east to make it look nice. I shall fill in the nail heads and give it a few coats of under coat before I decide on what colour to paint it. If the new owner wishes to take it to shows it should look quite smart.

I've started to add some dirt to the lion heart oil tanks. These are superb wagons but look a bit stark when new.
