@paul_l no worries. Or rush. Just wanted to confirm they had dropped in the box.

Started on the signal box base, it would not generate supports unless I angled the print, so test one has a raft only, if this fails I have added an internal ledge 1mm thick and 4mm wide, we'll see if this can allow raft and supports to be created.

Estimated time top print 9h45, which based on previous prints can be approx 50% short, so may be a 14hr print :whatever: and thats only for the base.

The OO box, the O gauge one as originally done won't fit on the printer.

Only downside is I don't think that raft is coming off

The windows look good, so I'd keep them where they are, the issue I had with the windows was when it was printed at an angle with supports, the supports were stronger (read thicker) than the window frames.

The roof and floor are 70% through the print job

    Fingers crossed

I take it that’s the building not coming off the raft? :faint:

I’ve had that issue with the CTC...

I needed to raise the model, but it wouldn't add the supports, I will try to play with the file, at least I now know it will print.

Steve (SBt) has sent me a few more small bits to try, and for this I'm going to try a different resin, up until now I have only used the Anycubic Green resin. For this test I will be using Elegoo Rapid Resin Grey.

There is a great resource for the Anycubic Photon printer @ Anycubic Photon Forum
Within the resins section is a link to an online spread sheet, where users enter the settings they have used to get a good print from different resins.

So for the Elegoo Rapid Resin Grey The settings are for 0.05 layer height
    Normal exposure 12s
    Off time 6.5s
    Bottom layer exposure 60s
    Number of bottom layers 8

The models were sliced with an estimated print time of 2h20m

The resin was well shaken, loaded up and the print started .........

Just have to wait, I did notice on the spreadsheet that room temp has been quoted for many of the resins - I may be well screwed on this one

Will post when the results are in.

Well, if there are any readers of this, you may have guessed the first print failed, the parts that were successful only had 2 mm support. At some point in all the testing I must have screwed up the standoff setting and set it to 2mm instead of 5mm.

So I have increased the Normal exposure to 15s, and reduced the off time to 3s, combined with the increase in standoff height to 5mm gave as est. time of 2h30, actual time 3h 3m.

The Elegoo resin is less viscous than the anycubic resin, but less of the waffle whats the prints look like.

I have started another set off, this time using the Anycubic Green resin, but with the same settings as the Elegoo Grey resin to compare results.
