Yeah ..... I know. This weekend is relatively free though with the exception of a Tony's Blair cut on Saturday so I reckon Saturday will see the electrics up and running and the track cleaned. We can but hope. Toto
Paul, Toto is right, the trains will be running, running as fast as they can..., away ! Remember that test run on the R&GLR... No loco is brave enough to take off like a scolded cat then drop to the floor... Cheers, Gary.

Well, Saturday tomorrow. In fact ...... Very nearly today. heading for power up by the end of today ( Sat ) the national grid has been put on alert. Looking forward to getting something running again. Toto
I've replaced the batteries in the flash light, so I'm ready for the power outage, don't forget to charge the camera and video batteries. Paul
Wiring just about done. Really just the point motor to connect up then I can power up. A big of time spent track cleaning after that and bob's your aunty. Cheers for now. Toto

Well eventually power went on. Initially through my powercab and SB5 which did not work. the fault has been traced back to the SB5 which will need to go back to NCE. Anyway, that took a bit of messing about and time. Switched over to my power pro and eventually got that to go. A little programming issue which was user error but once I got around that, I managed to programme and run one of my Fowlers. I need to reprogramme my switch 8 to change the points over and give me full control of the layout again so that's tomorrow's first task. I have a couple of photos but no video as yet as my time was being munched up just trying to get things moving again. Video took a back seat. However I will get a short video up tomorrow once the switch 8 is reprogrammed. Getting there ........ Very slowly. At least once it's all aligned again it should be fine as it won't have to move for a while. More as it happens. Toto
Damn electrics ! Now you know why I choose to go wire in tube, a lot less fluffing about and it can't go wrong when you least expect it. Have you fitted all your locos with decoders or just some ?? Be great to see a myriad of locos doing a few runs up and down, but not all at once as I'm sure the 37 would get in the way and hog most of the track ! You must be stoked with the amount of work you have done in that shed, as it has come a long way in the last 3 weeks. Great work mate. Cheers, Gary.
Hi Gary, There are only a few fitted with DCC at the moment but I have the chips to do another two or three. I'll get round to that. The PB5 playing up has been a draw back, especially as it's new and worked no problem before but I suppose that's just a hi up. I have the Piwer pro to step in with thankfully. I'll reset the points again with the power pro today and then get some loco's running over the full layout. I was restricted to parts of it last night due to the switch8 being out of action. I'll look out my wee camcorder and get a short clip up ASAP. Cheers Toto.
Great work that you got a loco running Toto did it go forwards and backwards or up and down ... Ian vt
I had not altered the momentum which was on full so it went backwards, forwards then down via the leap of death ....... Right off the end of the layout onto the floor. No damage surprisingly enough ......... Just a bit stunned. I had been using a two foot length of track to programme on. Note to self ....... Get yourself some buffers. Cheers Toto
