Sneeky move ........ Congrats on POTW ........ great shot of your latest work and deserves the space as well. keep up the good work Sir. cheers a lesser mortal.
Seriously Dundee Paul your layout scenics are damn realistic, I think the idea of reusing the spent plaster is a great one. I couldn't quite see where you where taking this scenery a few weeks ago but now I can and again I'm liking this project a lot. As said to Toto we are hoping to come up to Dundee for the show and I'm excited to see your work in the rock as it were.
Congratulations to you and your Highland Terrier for PotW. Does that qualify for Competition No.10, pet photography...?? Cheers, Gary.
Gary - Checked with Toto, and he reckons it's out on a technicality - he just has to think of which one it is A bit more work on greenery touching the ballast The dirt track And the path that goes on to the next board towards the bothy - ah you've not seen that yet Paul
Now I'm liking the subtle incursion of vegetation onto the four foot. Touches like that bring a layout out into full character.
Thanks guy's hopefully it's getting there, but I think I will have to move attention over to the traversers soon
Although I think it needs darkening down a bit, the only issue I have with it is I've used Cat litter, which when wet absorbs moisture then breaks down The hairspray is showing promise, spray the cat litter (clean & unused I may add) with hair spray then paint etc once dry. Paul
Nah ..... that was his nibs. I still have some waste casts that have been cut and snapped etc so I probably will crush some up a bit more and use as rocks. I must admit, I thought you had given up on the day litter though. I thought it was too regularly shaped. However ..... if its working...... why not. Even a sprinkling of grey ballast here and there. That is rock after all. Toto
